Valentines Day Craft

I am not the first person to make a flower out of tissue paper, and I am certainly not the first person to glue tissue paper flowers to cardboard. However, when my daughter, Kris, #bubblyandgrace, asked me to teach a craft night for her friends. She graciously agreed to host it. She decorated the tables with red tablecloths, cute confetti, heart shaped plates and napkins. It was all so cute!

She also provided a light meal of fresh green salad, pasta salad, bratwurst with mustards, and various nibbles to keep the ladies from feeling peckish. Of course, what is a ladies night without bubbly, so there was plenty of that to go around.

I am very pleased about how the XOXO turned out. I just had to have this effect, but I have to say that it was not easy! It took lots and lots of trial and error. Of course, I had to make a tiered tray for Valentines Day. I really like the gnomes! I enjoyed painting the truck and the hearts. It was lots of fun, and I like the way it turned out.

The gnome that is part of the group picture is a custom order. My daughter, Kris, the brunette with the heart slippers, ordered this gnome for her bestie, Chelsy. Chelsy is the blond behind the gnome. This is a very unique gnome, because on the back is the custom order that was her Christmas present, a gnome in the shape of a Christmas tree!
